How to Establish an On-Farm Forklift Training Program

Trainer: Kent McNeill, Serenity Safety Consulting

The event is intended for farm owner-operators, or workers with existing forklift operating experience.

 

Participants will learn how to perform a pre-purchase forklift inspection, develop a daily pre-use forklift inspection checklist, and create an evaluation tool to assess worker competency on forklift operations.

Directions to the exact location will be sent to registered participants in an email prior to the event.

Safe and Low Stress Cattle Handling Workshop

Cost: $35 - Includes beef-on-a-bun lunch and coffee break.

Time: 10:00 am- 3:30 pm

Trainer: Reg Stewart

 

This event is geared towards anyone of any age who works with cattle (farm owner, farm workers, farm families). The workshop is a blend of theory and hands-on training with cattle.

Participants will learn how low stress cattle handling benefits animal welfare and worker safety, how to assess and improve the safety of cattle handling facilities, and how to improve communication within your team to increase efficiency and lower stress.

 

Please bring CSA approved safety footwear (if you want the opportunity to interact with cattle).
