WINNIPEG, MANITOBA - November 2, 2018 - The Manitoba Farm Safety Program is holding two conferences on the proper fit and use of personal protective equipment – an essential for every farmer. The events are on November 26 in Brandon and November 28 in Winnipeg; no fee to attend.
The identical conference is being held in both locations to ensure as many as possible can take part. The event will feature sessions on hearing protection, respiratory protection, respirator fitting, fall protection, harness fitting, pesticide protective equipment, and confined space entry training.
There will also be industry displays that include free hearing tests and free lung function (spirometry) tests. Each participant will go home with a safety package including basic PPE items, and will have a chance to win some incredible door prizes. Again, these conferences are for any farmer from any commodity.
Admission is free, although pre-registration is required as lunch is being provided. The deadline to register is November 21st 2018 at www.manitobafarmsafety.ca/training-events.
The Manitoba Farm Safety Program is administered by Keystone Agricultural Producers.
